Local Produce Month - Yarra Valley Dairy Showcase

Over the month of August we will curating three seperate gorgeous menus highlighting local produce. The Yarra Valley is not only home to some incredible wineries, but also to incredible cheesemakers, truffle farmers and apple orchards, just to name a few. Each of these three events will be focused around a seperate incredible Yarra Valley producers.

The final night in our Local Produce series will be our Yarra Valley Dairy Showcase.

Located in Coldstream, Yarra Valley Dairy have been in the business of making cheese since 1994, when they found themselves happily saddled with a surplus of cow’s milk. From this extra milk, a soft ricotta-style cheese was born and it was this first cheese that paved the way for their now iconic Persian Fetta.

Using fresh local cow milk from here in the Yarra Valley and goat’s milk from the nearby Mansfield, Yarra Vally Dairy are implementing practices used in farmhouse cheese making across Europe. It’s the care taken by the team that makes their cheeses exceptional.

We’re excited to be presenting a four-course menu showcasing the amazing produce from Yarra Valley Dairy on Saturday, August 17.
