Local Produce Month - ‘Foraging Night’ with Timbarra Farms

Over the month of August we will curating three seperate gorgeous menus highlighting local produce. The Yarra Valley is not only home to some incredible wineries, but also to incredible cheesemakers, truffle farmers and apple orchards, just to name a few. Each of these three events will be focused around a seperate incredible Yarra Valley producers.

The second night in our Local Produce Series is ‘Foraging Night’ with Timbarra Farms.

Located in Don Valley, Timbarra Farms is a one acre farm that is bio-intensive growing at it’s peak.

Run by scientist couple, Chris and Helen, the two use their expertise in botany and ecology as the guiding force in their farming practices. They grow a remarkably diverse array of vegetables, quickly rotating their beds and planting numerous flowers to support the farm's biodiversity. They use chemical-free methods and follow organic principles, though they don't seek formal certification. Instead, they welcome chefs and customers to visit the farm and see their practices firsthand.

For one night we will offer a four-course menu featuring produce grown and foraged by our friends at Timbarra Farms (with some help with the foraging from us!)
